Vacation Tips…

At last, summer has arrived! What are your vacation plans?

Vacation

Visiting other cities, states/countries is always fun. You get to experience and learn new things. For example, we discovered Medieval Times, in Kissimmee Fl. It was an awesome experience, and the family had a blast. For those of you who don’t know what Medieval Times is, it’s a family-friendly experience inspired by an 11th-century feast and tournament.

Summer School

Summer College Courses can be a bummer, but there are lots to do in your local area. I’m sure you have many options to choose from. Movie night, a day at the lake, or even a day at the spa can take your mind off your worries. It’s a temporary fix, but well worth it.

Road Trip

Save up your money, get in your car, and hit the road. Stop in every state until you arrive at your destination. Try new foods, experience different cultures, and enjoy freedom.

Relaxation

If you are anything like me… You love a good nap! I can relax just about anywhere I go! At home, you can watch a movie and kick your feet up. Driving to the store? Cut through the park and enjoy the scenery. On vacation? In-between sight-seeing take time out to breathe. Come nightfall, check out the moon and stars, this is also another great way to relax.

Gardening

Some of us can get lost in our gardens, and that’s all the vacation we need. Planting veggies and fruits can be fulfilling. You are taking care of your mind by being stress-free, digging in the soil, and checking on your plants. You’re also taking care of your body by getting exercise and eating healthy.

Work

Some of us must work all summer. But guess what? There’s always the weekend! Short trips can be fun also! And are well-needed! Pack an overnight bag, get a hotel room, order room service, and turn your phone off. Treat yourself, you deserve it! Or you can spend time with family or friends. Do whatever makes you happy and puts your mind at ease.

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section. Take Care

These are super fun vacation ideas. With the extreme heat in our area we do a little indoor picnic and scavenger hunts. Once the weather cools it’s park time

Gardening is a great escape. I can spend many hours in my yard. Gardening help with my anxiety also. Imagine your hands in the soil, planting your fruit and vegetables. Patiently awaiting for them to sprout through the soil. Light work that yields great results.

Alot of great things to do to help ease the mind and enjoy life. Taking family to a zoo, walking along the beach, take a boat ride or cruise, or enjoy a dip in the pool are also some great benefactors.

Unfortunately, I’m working the entire summer. You brought up a good point with the hotel stay. I’ll have to give it a try and get back
to you letting you know how it went. Seems like this will be my only get a way this summer.

Please remember, self-care if the best care. Yes, you have to work but please, please, please make time for yourself. Even if it’s just for one night. And yes, please let me know how it goes.
