Keeping Cool During These Hot Summer Days

At last, summer has arrived! This season is full of fun activities such as going to the park or beach vacations, but what do you do when the temperatures are scorching hot?

In this blog, we’ll go over some creative ways you can stay cool while enjoying this gorgeous and fun season.

A walk around the mall

Mall trips are always fun, especially when shopping is involved! You can shop, stuff your face, & even relax in those cozy massaging chairs. Why not treat yourself to a few new outfits or shoes while browsing through the different stores they have to offer while staying cool?

Shade in the park

Hot days make it seem impossible to get outdoors. Late afternoon/mid evening once the temperatures drop, have a picnic under a nice-sized tree with the family. Enjoy Gods beautiful creation. You can hear the birds chirp, and watch the squirrels run through the trees while enjoying a tasty sandwich and cool drink.

Frozen Treats

Whether you go to a stand or make them at home, snow cones are a delicious treat you and the family can enjoy. If you aren’t the “snow cone” type, maybe you want ice cream or frozen yogurt. There are a variety of delicious frozen treats you can enjoy. Pelican Ice, 7-Eleven, Andy’s Frozen Custard, etc… are also great, affordable ways to cool off. There are many enjoyable options to choose from.

Relaxing in the house

With temperatures soaring into the hundreds, being inside may be the best option. Running the ac or fan can help everyone stay cool. Keep all the doors & shades closed so you can revel in a movie. You can also utilize this time by playing family games, eating popcorn, and relaxing.

Ice Bath

Did you know ice baths can cool you down and relieve stress? Ice baths are an excellent way to detox your body and provide cooling relief if you’ve been out in the summer heat. Fill your tub with water, drop a couple of ice cubes in it, and jump in. Stay in for as long as you can bear it, but if it’s too much, exit the tub carefully.

The most important way to stay cool is by keeping yourself hydrated. Drinking water and eating fruits such as watermelon or honeydew will keep you hydrated while you are enjoying your summer activities. If you are someone who does not enjoy water, add a bit of fruit to give it a sweet taste.

Its funny, we complain in the winter, summer, spring and fall. It’s either too hot, too cold or too much rain. LOL

This post is very informative. Spend less time on those cell phones and spend more time with your family and friends. Lets get back to making memories that will last a lifetime. We spend too much time inside the mall, I will start planning and following through with more outdoor activities. Thanks for the read!
